Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 piece fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8-10 pounds)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
  3. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, and cloves to create a glaze.
  4. Brush the glaze over the ham, reserving some for later.
Cooking
  1. Tent the ham with aluminum foil and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow the ham to brown.
  3. Once heated through, remove from the oven and let it rest before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Use a probe thermometer to avoid overcooking. Aim for 140°F internal temp. If you prefer a citrusy twist, experiment with adding pineapple juice to the glaze. For a spicier kick, sprinkle in a bit of chipotle powder.
