Ingredients

Burger Mixture
  • 1 lb ground chicken Can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix Can substitute with homemade dried herbs
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined but be careful not to overmix!
  3. Shape the mixture into about 4 evenly-sized patties.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or pan over medium heat. If you’re using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook the patties for about 5–6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  3. Serve immediately with your favorite burger toppings, like lettuce, tomatoes, or extra ranch sauce.

Notes

Don’t overmix! A gentle hand is all you need to keep those patties tender. You can store cooked burgers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to a month. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through.
