Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6-8 sheets rice paper sheets (spring roll wrappers)
  • Warm water (for soaking)
Seasoning Options
  • ½ teaspoon salt For all versions
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper For all versions
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning For Everything Bagel Version
  • 1 pinch garlic powder For Everything Bagel Version
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder For Spicy Chili Version
  • ½ teaspoon paprika For Spicy Chili Version
  • ¼ teaspoon salt For Spicy Chili Version
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper Optional, for Spicy Chili Version

Method

Preparation
  1. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Soak each rice paper sheet for 15–30 seconds, just until pliable (not soggy). Lay on a clean towel and gently pat dry.
  2. While the rice paper is still damp, evenly sprinkle your chosen seasoning over the surface. Gently press seasoning into the paper with clean hands to help it stick. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before air frying.
Cooking
  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place rice paper sheets in a single layer (a little overlap is fine). Air fry for 4–6 minutes, or until edges are golden and crisp.
  2. Remove and cool on a wire rack for about 30 seconds.
  3. Break into chip-sized pieces. Serve immediately for the best crunch!

Notes

Don’t skip the resting period after adding seasoning; it helps the seasonings stick better. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispness.
