How to make Cauliflower Shawarma Bowls (Overview)
Making these bowls is as easy as 1-2-3 (well, 10, but who’s counting? 😄). Start by roasting your cauliflower and chickpeas until they’re all golden and crispy. While they’re in the oven, whip up that fabulous Green Tahini Sauce — it’s creamy goodness with a hint of lemon. Finally, layer your bowls and give them a drizzle of that sauce as a finish. Pro tip: Don’t skip the tossing step; it ensures everyone gets seasoned to perfection!
How to serve Cauliflower Shawarma Bowls
Let your imagination run wild while serving! Picture a vibrant bowl filled with golden cauliflower, crunchy chickpeas, and colorful toppings. The fragrance of spices wafts through the air as you dish it up. Serve with a side of warm, fluffy flatbreads for scooping or sprinkle on some crumbled feta for a touch of creamy contrast. Your taste buds will thank you!
How to store Cauliflower Shawarma Bowls
These sticks around! You can pop the bowls in the fridge and enjoy them for up to four days. If you’re feeling fancy, freeze the roasted veggies (and not the rice) for up to three months. Reheat in the oven for that fresh-out-of-the-oven experience, or in the microwave if you’re in a hurry.
Tips to make Cauliflower Shawarma Bowls
Want to ensure your bowls are absolute perfection? Here are some insider tricks:
- Change up the grains: Swap basmati for quinoa or your favorite grain.
- Crunch factor: Toast some nuts or seeds for added texture.
- Flavor depth: Marinate chickpeas in the spices for an hour before roasting for even bolder flavors.

- Spice it up: If you like heat, add red pepper flakes to your spice mix.
Variation
